While our primary focus is on our customers, we believe that a healthy, vibrant organization needs to be involved in our communities. This involvement starts with a strong commitment to our families. As an employee-owned company, we recognize that the families of our associates have a share in our collective future. That's why we make a special effort to come together, whenever possible, in family events like Halloween parties with treats for all the kids, our summer picnics and holiday celebrations.
We also sponsor new employee welcome breakfasts, special treat days and random drawings for gifts. It’s our way of letting our employees and their families know we appreciate their contributions.
In the broader community, our leadership team believes that every business and person has a responsibility to contribute. That belief translates into material support and participation in community events and organizations in the communities where we live. Our participation includes financial support through donations and sponsorships, as well as volunteer activities that target a variety of organizations and events that improve quality of life.
Our Community Involvement Committees determines the organizations and events they support. From the United Way, Red Cross, Salvation Army and American Heart Association to the local food banks, blood banks, arts program and schools, it’s our way of giving back.
