KJWW Engineering provided electrical, HVAC, and plumbing engineering design for the new 40,000 SF David A. Bowers Residence Hall.
The three-story masonry building supplies a total of thirty-seven suites for the students and an additional suite for the resident director. Each suite consists of two bedrooms, living room, and restroom. In addition there are public restrooms, a laundry room, and a serving kitchen. This handicapped accessible building includes an elevator. In the basement is a mechanical room that consists of two 23 HP hot water boilers, two unit heaters and one 80 ton air-cooled chiller that provides cooling. This facility is fully sprinkled throughout.
