KJWW Engineering provided electrical and mechanical, including fire protection, plumbing, and HVAC, and technology design for the new middle school. The 2-story, 200,000 SF building, which houses approximately 1,400 students, includes:
- 32 classrooms
- 8 team centers
- 8 science labs
- 2 computer labs
- 2 gymnasiums
- Library
- Cafeteria
- Multipurpose room
Electrical distribution designs for the new school include one service of 4,000 amp/480 volt. Most of the building is air conditioned. KJWW technology engineers provided designs for data, voice and security systems which includes state-of-the-art equipment for smart classrooms.
