This assisted lifestyle community contains 129 studio, one and two bedroom apartments in the three-story building. Amenities include transportation, housekeeping and activities, as well as assistance with medication and laundry.
Challenges / Solutions |
The owner’s budget was very tight. KJWW worked closely with the contractors to value engineer during the submittal phase.
Routing utilities also was a challenge on this project because of the building’s low floor to ceiling heights.
The building’s wood construction required additional fire protection to meet fire ratings. Fire, smoke and radiation dampers were installed on the project. In addition, sprinklers were required for fire protection.
